This town is comprises of the mainland and two islands, San Carlos Island and Estero Island a barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico that includes seven miles of white sand beaches. Many recreational activities can be enjoyed here including
tennis, scuba diving, fishing and golf. Fort Myers Beach traces it's history from 1513 when Ponce de Leon passed through  Lynn Hall Memorial Park offers a public beach area with picnic facilities.
