Are you anxious to see all 32 square miles of this lush tropical paradise? If so, you can either rent a car or take a guided tour. Whatever you do, your explorations will take you up winding hills and along mountainous roadways where it's guaranteed each breathtaking panorama is more dramatic than the one before. A particularly famous stop is Drake's Seat — the vantage point where Sir Francis Drake himself used to sit and observe his fleet.
Just below Drake's Seat is Magens Bay Beach, USVI , touted by National Geographic Magazine as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
To the west of Drake's Seat, another “must see” is MountainTop. Looming 1,500 feet above sea level, this festive shopping complex offers unparalleled vistas showcasing the US and British Virgin Islands. By the way, it's also home to the World Famous Banana Daiquiri — made exclusively with Cruzan Rum of the Virgin Islands. A well-known attraction on the other side of town is Paradise Point. At this aptly named attraction, you can take a state-of-the-art tramway 700 feet to look out over Charlotte Amalie Harbor and beyond.
